The flow state is that state we hit when totally immersed in an activity, where we feel amazing, are super focused, and performing at our best. It is a peak experience where we go beyond ourselves. The concept of time and effort fade. The ordinary becomes extraordinary. We become totally present. Problems give way to bliss. We feel lighter, joyful, and more alert. A sense of freedom and invincibility emerges, helping us push limits and arrive at places we never thought possible. The flow state happens during exercise because our bodies are designed to move and reward us when we do. When we exercise, all those feel-good chemicals in our body release that make us feel amazing.
